Our Story
Park's Precision Gunsmithing, LLC opened in April of 2025 in Marion, MI with the goal of bringing top notch gunsmithing services to the area. The owner's James, Suzie, and Megan decided on the location while visiting Marion during Old Fashioned Days in 2023. James & Suzie were looking for a location that would be centrally located and serve well for all of Michigan, and Megan was already living in Marion so it was meant to be.
We were very excited to see Untamed Archery and Flemming's Clothing Store on Main Street and knew immediately that our shop would fit right in.... and that is where it all started.
THE TEAM
James and Suzie will be celebrating 15 years together in 2027. Meeting later in life, knowing right from the beginning that they were two peas in a pod. They share their love of the outdoors, hunting, fishing, hiking and spending as much time as possible with family.
Speaking of family, Suzie brought 5 children to the marriage, 4 daughters and 1 son. Since 2012 6 granddaughters have been added to the family.
Megan is one of Suzie's daughters and 3 of the granddaughters belong to her.

James is a retired dairy farmer of 28 years near Edmore, MI. He choose his second career of Gunsmithing in 2019. James attended Pine Technical & Community College in Pine City, MN where he received his Associates degree in Gunsmithing and Firearms Technology. He has 5 years of additional hands on experience in gunsmithing. In his free time he enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with the family.
Suzie is a retired educator who spent most of her career either in a classroom or as an administrator. Suzie holds an Associates degree in General Business, a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, and a Graduates degree in Technical Education from Ferris State University. In her free time she also enjoys hunting & fishing, loves listening to music and singing (even though she can't sing lol). Her favorite thing to do nowadays is spending time with her grandbabies.
Megan is a trained Phlebotomist who also has a background in office administration and customer service. She is currently taking a break from her Phlebotomy career to care for her three beautiful daughters. In her limited free time she enjoys spending time camping, being an influencer, and practicing her Barista skills making up new recipes that will someday make her famous for her iced coffees.
